My very politically incorrect Christmas wish for you

My wish for this Christmas season is that you keep the spirit of Christmas in your heart all year long. Remember it is definitely more blessed to give than to receive… if you don’t believe me then try it some time… personally help someone in need or is less fortunate than you are.  Even the poorest of the poor can do something to help others.  When you do you’ll be amazed at how much better it feels.

And above all else remember that little baby who was born in Bethlehem in that modest stable who grew up to become the Saviour of the world (even for liberals who do not not believe)… Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Redeemer of all mankind.

And for the rest of the population who refuses to admit what Christmas is all about I will say this to you:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great.

Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere.

Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wish.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
