Apparantly Obama has called the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and stated that his intent is to help establish a Palestinian state alongside of an Israeli state.  It has been said that Obama supports dividing Jerusalem to establish a PA state.  But this is not what he said earlier this year when Obama stated to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee that if he is elected president, “Jerusalem would remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided.”

Just prior to the election reports were surfacing out of the Miami-Broward area that Jews were more favorable to Obama now that he has said the right things to them.  But now one has to wonder if what he was saying was designed solely for the purpose of getting elected.

Maybe this is what you call change and hope… deceiving yourself into hoping Obama will change.  The odds are heavily against that.

This entire issue of his being born in Kenya with a native of Kenya as his father is troubling to me.  This should have been settled long ago.  Obama could have nipped this in the bud.  But he has refused.  He has yet to offer a certified copy of his birth certificate to establish citizenship.

Obama gave up any U.S. citizenship he might have once held when he was legally adopted by Lolo Soetoro, M.A. a citizen of Indonesia. Obama’s Indonesian school records (as shown below) also confirm his status as the adopted son of Soetoro and a citizen of Indonesia. Indonesian law did not allow dual citizenship at that time, which means in order to become a citizen of Indonesia, Barry Obama (aka Barry Soetoro) had to give up his American citizenship. These are basic questions that Obama and his campaign team has evaded all along.

Lawsuits have now been filed in Ohio, Connecticut, Washington, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Hawaii with others pending in Utah, Wyoming, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Texas, California and Virginia.  The lawsuits, in essence, ask the state courts to block the certification of election when the Electoral College meets next month unless Barack Obama produces a valid, certified copy of his birth certificate to the various Secretaries of State.

Huge financial tax-dollar-suckers now want to “spread-our-wealth” around and give it to the very same high-level executives and managers who got us into this sinkhole.  End of year bonus time is coming up.

CBS News correspondent Priya David spoke with several compensation consultants who said that, even in this economy, firms are worried that, if they don’t pay out the bonuses, they’ll lose their top talent — people they want to keep around for when pastures turn green again.

At least in football pilling on will get you a flag and a 15 yard penalty.  Now American Express has been declared a ‘bank holding company’.  Now how long has American Express been around??? Longer than I can imagine.  And have they ever wanted to be a ‘bank holding’ company beofre now?  NOPE.  So why now?  So they can apply for $3.5 billion in bailout money just like all of the others.

If Congress had any cahones they would repeal the bailout bill and let the chips fall where they may.  Since, according to the experts, we will hit a full blown depression next year anyway… rewarding the rich and careless is not my idea of sound fiscal policy.

More disturbing facts coming out of the Middle East that lend credability to the rumors of Obama’s radical associations… these associations, while blown off by the MSM and Obama supporters, are an insight into Obama’s core beliefs:

Hamas held a meeting in the Gaza Strip several months ago with aides to President-elect Barack Obama, but the terror group was asked to keep the contacts secret until after last week’s elections, according to a senior Hamas official.

Ahmed Yousef, Hamas’ chief political adviser in Gaza, told the leading Al-Hayat Arabic-language newspaper Hamas has maintained regular communication with Obama aides that even continued during the past week.

“We were in contact with a number of Obama’s aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to come out with any statements, as they may have a negative effect on his election campaign and be used by Republican candidate John McCain (to attack Obama),” Yousuf told Al-Hayat.

Yousuf said Hamas’s contact with Obama’s advisers was ongoing, adding that relations were maintained after Obama’s electoral victory last Tuesday.

Six months ago, Robert Malley, a Mideast expert described as an ancillary adviser to Obama, resigned amid a report in a London newspaper that he had contact with Hamas. According to some media reports, Malley is again representing Obama’s positions in meetings in Egypt and Syria, although it wasn’t immediately clear whether he was acting independently. FrontPageMagazine.com claims Malley was dispatched by Obama.

Last week, Yousef told WND of Obama’s win: “This is a historic day, a turning point. I think this is the very first time in history that one country’s election concerned everyone everywhere all over [the] world. Everybody is looking forward to Obama’s change, for a change in the U.S. policy, particularly in the Israeli-Palestinian equation, which is the mother of all conflicts.”

As if we needed another reason why we can’t trust the government… here is yet another reason.  While the American people are in distress and Congress passes a huge bailout package to help distressed banks and lenders… the Federal Reserve has already given $2 trillion dollars in ‘bailout’ money into the banking system that does not require Congressional oversight!

The Federal Reserve is refusing to identify the recipients of almost $2 trillion of emergency loans from American taxpayers or the troubled assets the central bank is accepting as collateral.

Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said in September they would comply with congressional demands for transparency in a $700 billion bailout of the banking system. Two months later, as the Fed lends far more than that in separate rescue programs that didn’t require approval by Congress, Americans have no idea where their money is going or what securities the banks are pledging in return.

“The collateral is not being adequately disclosed, and that’s a big problem,” said Dan Fuss, vice chairman of Boston- based Loomis Sayles & Co., where he co-manages $17 billion in bonds. “In a liquid market, this wouldn’t matter, but we’re not. The market is very nervous and very thin.”

Bloomberg News has requested details of the Fed lending under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act and filed a federal lawsuit Nov. 7 seeking to force disclosure.

This is exactly why I was against the bailout package… this infuriates me.  Both the Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke both testified before Congress back in September that we desperatly needed a bailout package to pass Congress or we would face financial disaster.  But while they were saying all of this they were sneaking around America’s backs giving them an extra $2 trillion.

Obama’s new Chief of Staff is a swell pick.  If you like someone who is blind in one eye and cannot see out of the other.  A person who cannot distinguish between truth and fraud.  That is what Rahm Emanuel is.  Someone who can look fraud and corruption straight in the eye and then pass it off as a need to “address concerns raised by Congressional critics”. But Mr. Obama thinks he is hot:

With Emanuel, Obama gets an enforcer, a bad cop who loves the f-word, with a unique resume no one else in the United States can match: the No. 4 leader in the House; veteran of seven years in the White House during the Clinton administration; a supreme media and political strategist who knows process and policy. He’s also a close friend of Obama and David Axelrod, the mastermind who helped propel Obama from a state Senate seat in Chicago to the White House in four years.

“No one I know is better at getting things done than Rahm Emanuel,” Obama said in a statement.

“He’s unbelievably loyal and tough,” said Daley, who is part of Obama’s transition team and close to Emanuel and Axelrod.

If Obama is reserved Mr. Cool, Emanuel is emotive Mr. Hot.

Oh really??? Once again this proves that Obama’s judgement and character assessments are drastically flawed.  His associations with Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Resko, ACORN and others proved that point before long before this country foolishly elected him as the leader of our country.  If he was unbelievably loyal and tough then why didn’t he scream to the top of his lungs that something was going wrong at Freddie Mac?  If he is such an enforcer then why didn’t Emanuel use his position on the board of Freddie Mac to stop the fraud and corruption and hold those involved accountable for their crimes? There are many stockholders of companies who wish they had the opportunity and authority such as Emanuel had to stop fraud within corporations. Emanuel had that power… but foolishly let it slip through his fingers.

Obama may think he is an enforcer but he is not the Dirty Harry kind of enforcer that this country needs.

ABCNews is reporting that Emanuel was on the Board of Directors of Freddie Mac while Freddie Mac was cooking the books:

The SEC’s complaint alleges that Freddie Mac engaged in a fraudulent scheme that deceived investors about its true performance, profitability, and growth trends. According to the complaint, Freddie Mac misreported its net income in 2000, 2001 and 2002 by 30.5 percent, 23.9 percent and 42.9 percent, respectively. Furthermore, Freddie Mac’s senior management exerted consistent pressure to have the company report smooth and dependable earnings growth in order to present investors with the image of a company that would continue to generate predictable and growing earnings.

“As has been seen in so many cases, Freddie Mac’s departure from proper accounting practices was the result of a corporate culture that sought stable earnings growth at any cost,” said Linda Chatman Thomsen, the SEC’s Director of Enforcement. “Investors do not benefit when good corporate governance takes a back seat to a single-minded drive to achieve earnings targets.”

Those books are probably char-grilled by now.Of course a ’spokesman’ passes this off because Emanuel only served on the board for 13 months… “a relatively short period of time”. Well how long does this ’spokesman’ think it takes to raise the red flag?  Is this what we can expect the White House to become under an Obama administration?  I guess so.  He has not been sworn in yet and already there is fraud and corruption being associated with his administration.

Many have credited Obama’s charisma and ability to swoon an audience with his enticing words of change and hope for his election victory.  But I would rather have someone who has a personality as flat as a washboard but speaks the truth to America than have a silver tongued politician.

She emerged on the national political scene with all the energy and excitement of a child who just won a $10,000 shopping spree in Toy’s-R-Us.  And just like that child, her eager eye left nothing unnoticed.  She soaked it all in.  She  brought a new exuberance to the political fray that spoke of real hope for this country.  Not the false hope that was being served on a silver platter by Obama.

For this she is to be admired and commended.

She knew ahead of time that she would be faced with critics and those who would do her harm from the opposite side of the fence.  The liberals sent hundreds of scavengers to Alaska with checkbooks in hand to buy any scrap of dirt they could dig up on her.  And what did they find?  Nothing.  Jesus should have been so lucky.  He was sold out for thirty pieces of silver.

It is one thing to know from jump street that your enemies will do anything to scuttle your ambitions for the top seats in the country.  It is another to come to the brutal realization that some of her enemies were within her own camp.  And to add insult to injury later discover to what lengths those enemies would go to if they failed to be victorious.

Before the election Fox News reporter Carl Cameron reported that there McCain staffers who were complaining about Palin and her “going rogue”.  And he continues to echo those so-called frustrations to this day.  His reports is based on unnamed sources within the McCain campaign.  I thought he was above such dribble.  Some have said that this is news.  It is not news unless you have some proof to offer.  Unnamed sources are not proof.  If you air a report without any proof then you are entering into tabloid journalism.  You would expect this from the National Enquirer… not from Fox News.

Palin has been accused of being unteachable and at times throwing fits over various things.  But what are the staffers doing now?  Throwing fits.  So what if she was not up on all the national political hot topics?  She was a fresh face ready to take on the Washington establishment.  That is what we needed.  She is a simple lady with simple values that has been untainted by the get-along crowd in Washington.  That is what we need.  And by the way Obama… she had a lot more experience running things than you have.

Even if the allegations made against Palin are true, what does it say about the character of these sour grapes staffers?  Did McCain hire children?  It seems the unnamed staffer(s) are throwing a tantrum and have to have someone to blame.  It seems to me that theses staffers were looking more to their own political and financial gain rather than unflinching devotion to ensure that McCain/Palin wins.  In other words… they took their eye off the ball and gave the opponent a turnover.  They beat themselves.

If Palin was that bad they should be scolding McCain for picking her.  And at the very least McCain should be scolded for putting such whiners and criers into staff positions.  McCain needs to change the batteries in his character meter.

When you get into a Presidential race you have to be prepared to loose as well as win.  Thrashing Sarah Palin will not get them into the White House.  Instead it just lets us know the quality of children that McCain hires.

This is probably going to get a pass in the MSM (Main Stream Media… in case you forgot)… but our government is inviting the wolf into the hen house.  The wolf is not breaking in… but is instead being courted by our illustrious Treasury Department.  The one government agency who is at the head of the economic crisis.  Today they planned on giving interested parties in Congress, U.S. bank regulators and other Executive Branch personnel a lesson in Islamic Finance in Washington, D.C.

As in our own lives, when we get in a panic, we tend to make irrational and perhaps dangerous decisions in a rush to fix our problematic lives.  The same goes double with our government.

The Washington Times is reporting that we are on the verge of inviting Islamic states into our very soul just in the name of stopping the financial bleeding.

Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Robert Kimmitt set the stage with his recent visit to Saudi Arabia and other oil-rich Persian Gulf states. His stated purpose was to promote the recycling of petrodollars in the form of foreign investment here.

Evidently, the price demanded by his hosts is that the U.S. government get with the Islamist financial program. While in Riyadh, Mr. Kimmitt announced: “The U.S. government is currently studying the salient features of Islamic banking to ascertain how far it could be useful in fighting the ongoing world economic crisis.”

What this means is if the United States wants investment from places like Saudi Arabia (or so-called friends) to help bail us out of our financial debacle, we will have to subscribe to “the Islamist financial program”. I realize the reasons behind enticing other countries to invest in the United States.  But it is a foolish and suicidal move when we ask Islamists to be our bed fellows.

And there are some that will ask what the big deal is.  Dollars are dollars.  Their money spends just like ours.  The difference is that ours do not have fatal strings attached.

What the Treasury Department is dabbling around with is Shariah-compliant finance.  Here are the main requirements of their financial system:

• Shariah-compliant finance involves investments and other transactions that have been structured to conform with the orthodox teachings of Islamic law.
• They can’t charge or earn interest… this is the backbone of the American credit and investment markets.  Without being able to earn money based upon credit lines or investment you would have neither. So if Islamists cannot charge or earn interest, what’s in it for them???
• All returns from investments (or ‘zakat’… i.e. giving) must be “purified” by transferring at least 3% into Islamic charities.  This purification is nothing more than a glorified money laundering scheme.  Islamists just spin it and call it a contribution.  That is what is in it for them.
• But it gets even worse… a significant portion of the ‘gift’ must go directly to support of jihad.  In other words, our so-called ‘giving’ will then be used to buy munitions and bombs to use against us.  Not a smart idea.

But this is what happens when bureaucrats get involved in a theocratic financial system that they are ignorant of the inner workings.  Another plus for the Islamists is that organizations must hire Muslim scholars to bless the investments.  Talk about the ultimate money-laundering scheme!  I bet Al Capone and the Mafia would have loved to have such a government backed operation.

And of course there would be no accountability or oversight into how these ‘gifts’ are used.  Once given they could be used for anything… legal or illegal.

Folks… our country is sinking fast.  We had better start speaking up and find a way to stop up the plumbing before we have a major leak that threatens our very existance.
